Widows Support

The Widows Support Program includes widowers, it’s implemented every December. The widows and widowers receive cash grants, food, and textile materials to enable them to enjoy the end-year Christmas season. All widows in Umuabali are listed yearly and each receives the support items irrespective of status. This program provides support to over 120 widows every year. UCEF is exploring additional support services for the widows and widowers in the community.

Education Support

The Education Support Program is handled by UCEF’s Education Grant Committee. The program is designed to provide fixed amounts of financial grants to qualified Umuabali students enrolled in tertiary institutions and it’s implemented once a year. Interested students complete an application form and submit it to the Education Grant Committee. The Committee considers all applications and after exhaustive reviews recommends successful applicants for award of the grants. This program has provided education grants to 70 students since its inception in 2019.
